New! Notes and Reminiscences:
Excerpts from Our Guestbook

From Darryl Maes in Baghdad, Iraq:
" It has been nearly a year since I have signed the guestbook. I have been here 11 months and 17 days. I can't wait for the day I can leave here. To all of you from Cabrillo class of 1986, I am looking forward to seeing you all next year at the 20-year reunion. I can't wait to be in Lompoc again..."

Georjan Leininger Bond:
“There is no place like it on earth”

John J. Muñoz went to school in Lompoc in 1939:
“The school site, I believe, is about where the South Vandenberg gate is located.”

John also remembers the small bait and fishing tackle shop at Surf that catered to surf fishermen like his father.

David & Kelly Garner visited Lompoc from Tennessee after eight years away and noted many changes.

Former resident Camellia M. Charles notes that she and every one of her siblings, plus her niece and nephew, attended Cabrillo High School.

Rachel Hernandez misses Lompoc.

Fireman KEN GARY says, “Save a spot for me. I'll be back!”

Surf Beach Observations
This 'n That

"So there I was at Surf Beach. What a beautiful place! This is probably one of the few beaches in California where a person can stand and look in either direction, as far as you can see, and find only a handful of people."
